Omega Protein Corporation is one of the world's largest producers of omega-3 fish oil, North America's largest manufacturer of protein-rich specialty fishmeal and organic fish solubles and one of the largest fishing companies in the country.
We produce and sell a variety of products derived from menhaden, a species of herring-like fish found along the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic coasts. Our fishmeal products are primarily used as a protein ingredient in aquaculture, companion animal, swine and cattle feed. Fish oil is used as a feed ingredient in aquaculture and animal feeds as well as a food ingredient in functional food products and dietary supplements. Our fish solubles are sold primarily to aquaculture feed manufacturers, livestock feed manufacturers and for use as an organic fertilizer.
