Virginia Prime, our premier oil, has many industrial applications. Virginia Prime is pure, stearine-free fish oil that contains fewer saturated fats and more polyunsaturated fats than our basic fish oil. The oil is refined to reduce the free fatty acid content and bleached to reduce color, odor and many oxidative precursors. Holding greater oxidative stability than basic crude oil, Virginia Prime is useful in many industrial applications, including:
- alkyd resins for paint and polymers
- ceramic deflocculants and release agents
- rust inhibitors
- water repellant
